Keeping up to date with veterinary CPD

As you know, CPD or continuing professional development is a requirement for all veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses on the RCVS Register. Veterinary surgeons need to complete 35 hours per year, and veterinary nurses, 15 hours.

All your CPD needs to be recorded using the 1CPD platform, and reflection is now an important step.

More information can be found on the RCVS website, including what to do if you don’t think that you will be able to meet your CPD requirements.

Free education for animal owners

We found the webinar extremely interesting and relevant and really liked the way that it was presented so that laypeople like us could understand the subject matter. It was absolutely excellent.

I wish to thank you at Bova...

June 12, 2023

I wish to thank you at Bova for a very interesting and informative webinar by Gemma Pearson on the link between “Stress & Equine Gastric Disease”. It explains so much about why the condition persists after therapy when the cause is not recognised or addressed. It confirms my thoughts that we were missing so much in the aetiology of the condition when it was obvious that occupation and management influenced the rate of disease. After listening to Gemma, it is blatantly obvious so please pass on my thanks to her. She is contributing so much to equine welfare.

They were great webinars

and I learnt so much from them!

I really enjoyed the Prevention and Management of Laminitis webinar.

March 9, 2023

I really enjoyed the Prevention and Management of Laminitis webinar.

Apart from very interesting information,

I love webinars where there is time to take some notes on the way through, even though I stopped and started the recording frequently. It makes the flow of information so much easier to

take in as well.

I watched a great webinar from the on demand section; ‘Allergy in cats and reaching a diagnosis.’

A great initiative and very thoughtful during this time
