Bio
Professor Gary R. Whittaker, BSc, PhD, is the James Law Professor of Virology at Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. An internationally recognised expert in virology, his research focuses on coronavirus biology, viral entry and the mechanisms underlying feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). Professor Whittaker has contributed extensively to the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of feline coronavirus infections and is a member of the international panel developing global FIP treatment guidelines. He is also an At-Large Director of the International Society for Companion Animal Infectious Diseases.
