Supportive care: treating FIP is more than just antivirals
Overview
As we learn more about treating FIP, it has become increasinglyrecognised that treatment given alongside antivirals is important for recovery.Many cats with FIP are quite unwell at diagnosis, having been ill for sometime, likely with suboptimal nutrition, pain, nausea and other problems.Supportive care in the form of assisted nutrition, analgesia, antiemetics and stress management can make a huge difference to recovery.
