European Veterinary Specialist™ in Behavioural Medicine (Companion Animals).

Dr Jacqui Ley is a  registered specialist in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine (Veterinary Psychiatry). She heads the Veterinary  Behaviour Department at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre in her hometown. She is a fellow of the ANZCVS and a Diplomat of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine. Her PhD in Psychology developed a model and instrument for assessing personality in dogs (MCPQ-R). She has contributed to several books on veterinary behaviour and published, her first book,  “The Veterinary Psychiatry of Cats.” She is a lecturer at Melbourne University Veterinary School, introducing students to the fascinating world of Veterinary Psychiatry. She also chairs the Delta Expert Advisory Committee for Delta Institute overseeing the development of their state-of-the-art dog trainer course. Underpinning all of this is a busy home life with too many dogs, several horses, a goat and a blended adult family.
