Bio
Margie McEwen graduated from the University of Sydney and has extensive experience working in general practice, specialist hospitals, and veterinary teaching hospitals across Australia, the USA, and England.
She is a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (DACVAA).
From 2015 to 2020, Margie worked at the University of Queensland’s Gatton Campus, where she was Head of the Section of Anaesthesia and Analgesia. During this time, she taught on both the BVSc and BVetTech programmes.
In 2020, Margie became the Director and Owner of VetPrac, a continuing education business that delivers hands-on workshops, online courses, and in-house training for veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and veterinary technicians. VetPrac reflects her strong commitment to life-long learning and teaching.
Margie is passionate about education, communication skills, and supporting veterinary professionals at all stages of their careers. She greatly enjoys working with learners of all levels as they strengthen their foundation knowledge and apply it confidently in clinical practice.
