BVSc (Hons I) MSc Clinical Animal Behaviour
Bio
Dr Findy Wills is a veterinarian and clinical animal behaviourist dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of both animals and their caregivers. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (First Class Honours) and began her career in small animal practice in Newcastle, NSW.
In 2017, Dr Findy furthered her studies in animal behaviour at the University of Edinburgh, UK, completing a Masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Since then, she has combined clinical practice with extensive shelter rehabilitation work, providing private consultancy and post-adoption support for RSPCA NSW and Greyhounds as Pets NSW.
In 2020, Dr Findy founded Let’s Talk Paws Veterinary Behaviour Services, a practice dedicated to strengthening human–animal relationships through behaviour support, with a particular focus on patients experiencing chronic pain. As a clinician, she is skilled at translating behavioural observations into practical, everyday strategies that help caregivers provide effective care and foster secure, trusting bonds.
Furthering her interest in human–animal attachment, she is currently undertaking a PhD in Psychology at the University of Sydney. Her research explores attachment in dogs and caregiver parenting styles, with the goal of developing tools that better support owners of behaviourally complex dogs. She remains passionate about advancing veterinary behaviour medicine through clinical practice, mentorship, collaboration, and research.
