Bova UK Recognised as Runner-Up in Investors in the Environment Waste Award for Innovative Woolcool Packaging

Bova UK is proud to announce that it has been named Runner-Up in the prestigious Investors in the Environment (iiE) Waste Award, recognising the company’s significant progress in sustainable packaging through the adoption of Woolcool® for cold-chain distribution.
By transitioning to Woolcool® within a safe and carefully managed timeframe across mainland UK, Bova UK has maintained the stability and integrity of its cold-chain products while reducing environmental impact. This shift has already delivered an impressive 65% reduction in polystyrene cold-chain waste and a 45% cost saving, benefits that are shared directly with customers.
Beyond its performance as a natural insulator, Woolcool’s wool component can be returned to Woolcool for reuse, or repurposed easily at home, from animal bedding to winter plant protection or even soil conditioning, ensuring the material remains part of a sustainable circular lifecycle.
