Bova Group Achieves Investors in the Environment Silver Accreditation for Second Consecutive Year
Bova Group has achieved Investors in the Environment (iiE) Silver accreditation for the second consecutive year, receiving an overall audit score of 83%.
The accreditation recognises the continued development of Bova’s Environmental Management System across its UK and Australian operations. Despite significant business growth, the 2026 audit highlighted measurable improvements in resource management, environmental reporting and employee engagement.
Progress recognised within the report included a 21% reduction in paper consumption in the UK and a 25% reduction in Australia, alongside reduced normalised electricity consumption supported by solar power and continued energy-efficiency improvements.
Scores across key areas
Bova achieved the following scores across key areas of the audit:
| Environmental & Social Projects | 100% |
| Communication & Engagement | 100% |
| Leadership & Governance | 90% |
| Waste Management & Materials | 88% |
| Resource Use, Data & Monitoring | 86% |
The audit also recognised the introduction of Bova’s sustainable procurement policy, strong uptake of active and public transport, and the organisation’s commitment to improving environmental data and reporting year-on-year.
While Bova did not achieve Green accreditation this year, the audit provided constructive feedback and a clear pathway for further progress. The next phase will focus on carbon measurement, strengthening targets and reporting more clearly against the Group’s 2030 commitments.
“Achieving Silver accreditation for a second consecutive year is a fantastic result and reflects the continued commitment of our teams in both the UK and Australia.
“Although we did not quite reach Green this year, we have received valuable and constructive feedback that gives us a clear focus for the year ahead. I would particularly like to thank our UK and Australian Green Teams for their outstanding work, enthusiasm and dedication. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.”
Lizzie Barnard Global Head of Marketing and Sustainability, Bova Group
What’s next
- Carbon measurement, to build a clearer baseline across both territories
- Strengthening targets aligned with Bova’s 2030 environmental commitments
- Clearer, more consistent reporting against those commitments year-on-year
Bova will now build on this progress as it continues working towards Green accreditation and its longer-term environmental commitments.
