Overview
Whilst glucocorticoids are likely to remain the cornerstone of immunosuppressive treatment in veterinary patients for the foreseeable future, recent studies have highlighted the success of alternative immunosuppressive agents—both as first-line therapies and as adjunctive treatments in managing certain immune-mediated diseases.
In this webinar, Dr Anna will review the evidence for and against various immunosuppressive options currently available, helping you make more informed decisions in clinical practice.

Dr Anna Newitt
After graduating from the University of Liverpool in 2007, Anna spent four years in general practice in Kent before returning to academia to complete a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College in 2011.
She then undertook advanced clinical training in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the RVC, earning both a Master’s degree and Diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2015.
Anna joined the team at Davies Veterinary Specialists in September 2015 and was later awarded Diplomate status by the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ECVIM) in 2019.
In her spare time, Anna is a keen runner and enjoys obstacle course racing.
