How to tip the scales in your favour: weight monitoring and management while keeping your horse happy (2021)

Overview

Making Equine Weight Management Work for You and Your Horse

Weight management doesn’t have to feel like a battle. While many horse owners find it frustrating and difficult—restricting food or increasing exercise—there are practical, flexible strategies that can work for both you and your horse.

This talk will begin by highlighting often-overlooked aspects of weight monitoring, followed by a clear exploration of management options tailored to different horse-owner situations.

The goal? To help you create a plan that supports your horse’s wellbeing, keeps them happy in the field, and allows you to enjoy time together while successfully managing their weight.
