Bio
Dr Sue Paterson is a highly accomplished RCVS and European Board-Certified Veterinary Dermatologist and a Fellow of the RCVS, recognised for her exceptional contributions to clinical practice in Veterinary Dermatology.
Sue has authored seven textbooks and over 90 refereed publications in leading English, European, and American journals. She is a sought-after speaker, having lectured extensively at prestigious events such as the NAVC Congress in the USA, BSAVA Congress in the UK, and the European Dermatology Congresses. Additionally, she has presented at the World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology (WCVD) and numerous international meetings across more than 40 countries.
In her leadership roles, Sue is an elected member of the RCVS Council and serves as Chair of the Advancement of the Profession, with a focus on sustainability and leadership. She currently holds the esteemed position of President of the RCVS and is a past president of both the BSAVA and ESVD. Sue also serves as the President of the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sue is a Trustee of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. In her personal time, she enjoys exploring the Cumbrian fells with her dogs, embracing her love for the outdoors.
