Meet Louis

Our little boy Louis gradually became less playful and started eating only tiny amounts of food. It happened so slowly over the course of a month that it was easy to miss — until one day, his tummy became noticeably swollen. That’s when we knew something wasn’t right.

We took him to the vet, and after multiple visits, tests, and a couple of agonising weeks of waiting, we finally started treatment.

Remarkably, within just 10 days, you wouldn’t have known he had been so seriously ill — the transformation was incredible.

He completed his full 90-day treatment course without any setbacks or issues taking the medication. We’re so grateful we were able to get him the help he needed.

Louis’ case was the first full FIP treatment journey our vets at Aldeburgh had handled from start to finish — and it was a success.

We created an Instagram page to document his recovery: @fip_bsh, where we’ve shared his story and supported countless others by pointing them toward resources and guidance. We even connected with the owner of one of Louis’ siblings, Ralph, who sadly developed FIP around six months later — but Ralph is a survivor too!

Louis will celebrate two years FIP-free on 6th June. We couldn’t be more thankful.

Thank you, Bova — you saved our boy!
