Overview

This webinar will cover some of the most common behaviour problems presented to veterinarians. It will discuss diagnosis and treatment using the 4 M approach, behaviour modification, environmental management as well as which medications may be helpful and how to monitor progress for best results.

Dr Kersti Seksel

Kersti is a graduate of the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioural Science (majoring in Psychology), and a Master of Arts (Hons) by thesis.

She is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists, a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists, and a Diplomate of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioural Medicine.

Kersti is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland, Adjunct Associate Professor at Charles Sturt University, and Head Tutor for the Distance Education Course in Behavioural Medicine at the Centre for Veterinary Education, University of Sydney. She also teaches undergraduate veterinary students at the University of Sydney.

She is a regular speaker at both national and international conferences (in person and via Zoom), has authored numerous textbook chapters, and is the author of Training Your Cat. Kersti is also a regular radio presenter, a consultant on VIN (Veterinary Information Network), and the creator of Puppy Preschool® and Kitten Kindy®.
