Dr. David Rendle BVSc MVM CertEM(IntMed) DipECEIM FRCVS RCVS and European Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine
Dr David Rendle graduated from The University of Bristol in 2001 and began his career in farm animal and equine practice, followed by an internship at Liphook Equine Hospital. He completed a three-year Horserace Betting Levy Board residency between the University of Glasgow and Liphook.
David spent several years at Liphook with a break to work in Australia and the West Country, before joining Rainbow Equine Hospital in Yorkshire, where he became Director prior to its acquisition by the VetPartners group.
In 2019, David returned to his roots near Exmoor, where he now works as an independent equine medicine and therapeutics consultant, balancing clinical work, research, and life on the farm with his sheep.
He has lectured and published extensively, with particular interests in gastrointestinal and endocrine diseases. In recognition of his clinical contributions, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (FRCVS) in 2019.
David is currently President of the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and Chair of its Health and Medicines Committee.
