Meet Momo

Our lovely cat, Momo, was diagnosed with FIP in late February 2025. Before that, we noticed that Momo was showing less interest in his food and treats, and his weight dropped by 500 grams to 3.2 kg in just one month. He was also less active than usual and preferred to stay in the same spot at home for long periods. Realizing something was wrong, we took him to the vet clinic.

During the examination, the vet noticed that Momo’s breathing was heavier than that of a healthy cat, so she recommended a chest ultrasound along with a blood test. The A:G ratio of 0.3, combined with a large amount of fluid found in Momo’s chest cavity, strongly suggested FIP. A fluid sample from the chest cavity was sent to an external lab for a PCR test, which confirmed a FIP-positive result. Momo was then started on legal medical treatment.

Miraculously, Momo showed a dramatic improvement just two days after his treatment. His appetite returned, and he became active, playful, and mischievous again. He also purrs a lot when we’re around. We will continue the leagal treatment as directed by our vet.
